From the age of 2.5, children can join Teddy swimming at Zwembad Merwestein! During the lessons they learn swimming skills in a playful way, set to music.
Teddy swimming gives a child a head start on the regular swimming lessons.

Many children carry on with Teddy swimming after baby and toddler swimming. But children can also start Teddy swimming without having done baby and toddler swimming.
By taking part in Teddy swimming, children often start regular swimming lessons at a higher level and are given priority on the waiting list. They already learn a range of swimming skills and, if they do well, earn 3 certificates: bronze, silver and gold. So Teddy swimming helps your child reach the Zwemdiploma A sooner!
Teddy swimming always takes place together with a parent or carer.
During the winter months we also give the children survival lessons as part of Teddy swimming.
